In TracApple, can the Variety Sprayed drop-down list on the SprayData worksheet reference my Varieties list on the FarmData worksheet?

The Variety Sprayed drop-down list on the SprayData worksheet can reference your Varieties list from the FarmData worksheet rather than Trac’s pre-defined list.

Click on the SprayData worksheet tab to open the SprayData worksheet. Click on the cell beneath the column heading Variety Sprayed. On the main menu click on Tools then Protection then Unprotect Sheet. On the main menu click on Data then Validation then Settings.

The Settings tab window will show the following:

• Allow: This should read List. Do not change.

• Data: This will be gray, cannot change.

• Source: This will read =Varieties_Apples.

Select =Varieties_Apples. Press the Backspace key to clear the entry. On the main menu click on Insert then Name then PasteÉ The Paste Name window will appear. In this window, select Varieties from the list (near bottom of list) in the white box and hit OK. On the main menu click on Tools then Protection then Protect Worksheet.

Your variety list from the FarmData worksheet should now be active in the Varieties Sprayed drop-down list on the SprayData worksheet.
