When opening TracApple2005 why does the following message appear?

“Excel encountered an error and had to remove some formatting to avoid corrupting the workbook. Please recheck your formatting carefully.”

If this message appears when opening TracApple 2005, click on “OK” in the framed box directly beneath the error message. TracApple 2005 will open and be ready for use.

This message only appears when opening TracApple2005 for the first time with Microsoft Excel 2002. It will not appear if using Microsoft Excel 97, Microsoft Excel 98, Microsoft Excel 2000 or Microsoft Excel 2003.

Before releasing TracApple 2005, this message was thoroughly examined by the programming staff. All formatting and program functions appear to be in place and working correctly. The message could be triggered by a minor formatting incompatibility in Microsoft Excel 2002 that has no effect on the use of the program.

This error message does not appear on TracBerry, TracGrape, TracPear, or TracStoneFruit. We will make every effort to eliminate this message in TracApple 2006.
