Fatal Bug Excel 2002

Fatal Bug with Microsoft Office XP’s Excel 2002

The error with TracGrape, TracStoneFruit, and TracCherry that results in Trac opening with no formatting or macros only occurs when using Excel 2002. This is the version of Excel that was distributed with Microsoft Office XP. The image below shows the resulting TracCherry file when opened in Excel 2002.

The problem…

  • is not associated with downloading the files.
  • is not associated with zipping or unzipping the files.
  • only 2008 TracGrape, TracStoneFruit, and TracCherry software versions are affected.

To fix the problem, upgrade to Excel 2003 or newer versions, up to Excel 2007 (for PC computers).
