IPM for Fruit
NEWA is still operational and improving!
Although all funding for NEWA was eliminated from the NYS IPM Program budget as of July 1, 2009, NEWA is still alive and growing! For more information, see NEWA: Urgent News.
| Tree fruit, grape, and berry crops benefit from implementing IPM—environmentally and economically sensible ways to protect crops from insects, plant diseases, weeds, and vertebrate pests. The NYS IPM Program works with local extension educators, faculty, crop consultants, and agricultural businesses to find IPM answers, develop new IPM methods, and deliver IPM information.
