The Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ) is a formula created to provide growers with data regarding the environmental and health impacts of their pesticide options so they can make better-informed decisions regarding their pesticide selection.

The EIQ calculator was also developed to aid users in computing Field Use EIQ values, and facilitate comparison of pest management options and systems. NYSIPM periodically calculates EIQ values for new pesticide active ingredients and reviews old EIQ values. Diana Obregon Corredor leads these efforts.
